Safety Topic of the Month
Theft Prevention

Theft Prevention tactics must improve to keep up with changing crime trends. Here are some things to consider:

Do you have the Rave Guardian App on your smart phone? If you download that app, you will have the ability to take photos of suspicious subjects or vehicles and send them directly to the Police Dispatch Center with a brief description of what is happening. With this information and visual representation, we can catch criminals in the act easier. You can even send the tip anonymously.

Did you know you could get a cash reward for information leading to the apprehension of a criminal through Crime Stoppers?  Tips can be submitted on line, by phone, or through the P3 Tips app. Crime Stoppers posts pictures and/or descriptions of individuals or vehicles that are involved in crimes in the Albuquerque Metro area, including UNM. You can earn up to $1000 by submitting an anonymous tip, and prevent additional crimes from occurring.

Are you in communication with the UNM Police Department? We now have Instagram and Twitter to keep you connected to campus safety issues and become involved in the direction our campus is taking towards improved safety measures.

Our Safety Topic of the Month Page you are now on is tailored to the needs of our community to make you aware of current crime trends and provide information on all the great resources we have on and around UNM.
