WELCOME TO: Emergency Information

Each of us has a responsibility for safety and security on campus.  By preparing together, we are creating a safer campus for all.

Take a few minutes to download and read the brochures linked below.  The information contained in them is vital in an emergency, but don’t wait for an emergency to read it!

Please share this information with fellow students, staff, faculty, visitors and family.  If you need more help developing emergency plans, or have questions about what to do in an emergency, please contact us.

Every building, department, office, classroom and dorm on campus should have an emergency plan in place.  Does yours? When is the last time you practiced it?

If you don’t have one, or haven’t practiced yours in a while, this brochure will help you design or evaluate your plan.

As a member of the UNM community, you need to know when there is an emergency on campus and how you should respond.  This brochure tells you about responding to evacuations and shelter in place directions, and about all of the campus alert systems in place.  Be sure to review this information and sign up for alerts so that you know how to keep yourself safe in an emergency.

You will need Adobe Reader to read this file, if you do not currently have Reader installed, you can click here and download the newest version.
