DISPATCH

UNMPD's Dispatching center is state of the art.  Dispatchers are fully certified New Mexico State Telecommunicators, and complete over 120 hours of training at the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Training Academy, as well as a 14 week Field Training Program.  Dispatchers are responsible for answering 911 calls, dispatching Police Officers and Campus Security Officers, as well as providing NCIC and NMLETS information to Police Officers in the field.  Dispatchers are an integral part of our team, and enjoy a challenging career at UNM.
